Sizes

 

My standard sizes are based on these lengths from bridge of the nose to under the chin:

Standard adult is appx 5”

Small adult/Teen is appx 4.5”

Kids ages 7-12 appx 4”

Kids ages 3-6 appx 3.5”

I am happy to make a custom mask based on your specific measurements. 

 

Materials

I use high quality 100% cotton Quilting fabrics with a tight even weave. The nose wire is 20 gauge galvanized steel, curved at the ends for comfortable wear and durability. Fabric ties are cut and sewn in house. Elastic options are 3mm, 6mm and cord elastic. I also have apron tape and ribbons that would be appropriate for mask wearing, so email if you want to talk abut those options. 

 

Fabric ties are 17-20" long. I leave the ties edges raw and tie a loose knot. If you want to shorten the ties, cut and knot the ends again to prevent fraying.

 

Elastic is one 28" long loop and tied in one knot. The elastic fits behind your neck and head, holding the mask in place without stressing your ears.  And it is easy enough to switch to loops that slide behind your ears. You don’t need to restring it. Just make one cut in the top middle of the elastic (opposite the current knot) and  untie the current knot, leaving the elastic in place in the side channels. Gather the loose elastic ends on each side of the mask and tie them into new knots at a length comfortable for behind your ears. You can also trim the ends and slide the knot into the channel if the elastic ends get in your way.
